Police Blotter: A Little Whiff of Marijuana
Information provided by the Highland Heights Police Department

Two women were arrested for drug offenses after being stopped going southbound on I-271 the evening of Aug. 8. Officers smelled marijuana coming from their car, a 2012 Audi. One was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The other woman was arrested and was suspected of possibly possessing of cocaine.
Fired employee: Management at was concerned that an employee that was fired the day before would attempt to show up the morning of Aug. 8 as other employees arrived for work. They requested that police keep an eye out for the employee who was involved in an altercation and made other workers feel threatened. Police didn’t know what vehicle he would be driving or if he had a history of violence.
Suspicious items: A woman said her husband saw remnants of items buried at the playground the evening of Aug. 1. After the resident made the call on Aug. 3, police gave special attention to the area.

Driving citation: A driver was cited for lack of proper attention in a two-car accident that occurred at the intersection of Alpha Dr. and Wilson Mills Rd. the evening of Aug. 6.
Odd place to park: A motorist was cited for parking in the intersection of Romford Dr. and Rose Blvd. the evening of Aug. 6.
