Police Blotter: Dog Owner Told to Clean Up His Act

Information supplied by the Mayfield Village Police Department

A caller reported a neighbor on Sandalwood Dr. had been placing dog droppings in plastic bags and throwing it in the sewer in front of their house the evening of July 28. She was concerned the sewer might back up and wanted the neighbor anonymously warned to stop the dumping.

She also said a neighbor on the other side of the street had posted a sign telling people to clean up after a dog deficates and also provided plastic bags.

Police checked the sewer and later spoke with the dog owner and told that person that the sewer is not for waste and is a storm sewer. The dog owner agreed to stop.

DUI: A female driver was cited for a DUI, high blood alcohol, failure to control the vehicle and a lack of proper lighting on the car at Bonnieview Rd. in the early morning of July 24. She was released to her brother.

Kids acting up: Management at the on Aintree Park Dr. recorded video of boys and girls throwing various items including paper towels into the complex’s pool the evening of July 24. One of the girls was identified as a resident at the apartments. The youngsters also threw chairs and towels into the pool.

Fussing: An employee of reported a disturbance at next door with people shouting at each other the afternoon of July 25. Police discovered that Hairkeepers employees were arguing over the new design of the salon. They were told to keep the volume down or further action would be warranted.
