Police Blotter: Knives, drinking make for ugly incident

Information supplied by the Mayfield Heights Police Department

A caller claimed a man had a knife at an E. Miner Rd. residence and was going to kill the woman who lived there the afternoon of July 24. The caller on the scene asked him to put the knife down and said the man with the knife and the woman he was threatening were both intoxicated. The officer advised all of them to stay away from each other or they would be cited for disorderly conduct. But 50 minutes later, the woman at the residence threatened to kill both the man with the knife and the original caller. An ambulance came and took the woman at the residence away to the with extreme intoxication.

Assault: A woman said she was assaulted by a man with facial hair and sunglasses at the afternoon of July 23. The man drove off leaving westbound on Mayfield Rd. The Lyndhurst and South Euclid police were told to detain the driver if they located him.

Breaking and entering: A Mayfield Blvd. resident reported that his home was broken into the evening of July 23. The man said the break-in likely happened between 7:30 a.m. that morning and at the time he made the report.

Leaf blowers taken: A Summit Dr. resident reported that three backpack leaf blowers were missing from his garage the morning of July 25.

Fight gets ugly: A man was transported to with a head injury after having a fight with another man on Miner Rd. on the evening of July 25. With an open phone line, arguing could be heard in the background during the call.
