Police Blotter: Man Takes Nasty Spill on Bike

A bicyclist traveling on Brigham Rd. lost control of his ride and subsequently drove off the road and crashed the morning of Aug. 19. The bicyclist, 47, of Chesterland was treated for injuries at .

Theft: A worker at a Battles Rd. residence reported the theft of property the morning of Aug. 13. The worker said several days ago, an unidentified male stole two planters from the driveway of the residence. The case is presently under investigation.

Harassment: A Chagrin River Road resident reported receiving harassing communication the evening of Aug. 18. The woman said she had been receiving harassing letters from the same woman during the past several months. She requested that police tell the woman to stop any further communication. Police spoke with the woman, 58, from Gates Mills, and she agreed to halt any further such contact with the woman who complained.
