Police Blotter: Suspicious Man Takes Pictures Of Woman

Information supplied by the Mayfield Village Police Department

A woman reported a man driving a purple Hyundai had been taking pictures of her and stalking her while driving on I-271 on June 11 at 9:59 a.m. The woman said the driver existed on Wilson Mills Rd. and the direction taken was unknown. The woman continued southbound. Mayfield Village units were dispatched, and Highland Heights police checked but didn’t see anything.

Speeding: A man was stopped for speeding at the Highland Rd. exit on I-271 and was listed as being wanted for shoplifting in Medina on June 12 at 11:04 a.m. After contacting Medina police, the Mayfield Village police were referred to the driver’s probation officer who wanted to be advised when the man came in contact with law enforcement and not brought in. The suspect was released and will contact his probation officer.

Dog attack: A man said he was attacked by a dog on Ridgebury Blvd. on June 14 at 3:34 p.m. and requested an officer make a report. A neighbor restrained the dog. The police later returned to the residence for a follow-up, and a quarantine notice was served to a babysitter.
