Willoughby Siblings Arrested For Distributing Weed

The duo planned on mailing-bearing packages through the U.S. Postal Service to various address in the region.

WILLOUGHBY, OH — A pair of siblings have been arrested for conspiracy to distribute marijuana, law enforcement says. Natasha, 28, and Bennett, 26, Lewis were indicted on Saturday. They also face charges for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

The siblings' plan revolved around Natasha's job as a U.S. Postal Service carrier. The duo exchanged messages discussing addresses where parcels of marijuana could be mailed. Law enforcement says the conversations took place between December 2015 and January 2017.

According to the indictment, Bennett then arranged for marijuana shipments to be sent through the U.S. Postal Service. All the shipments were being sent to addresses Bennett and Natasha had discussed.

Natasha then intercepted the packages and delivered them directly to Bennett. The duo then sold the marijuana and split the proceeds, the indictment says.

The case was investigated by the US Postal Inspection Service in Cleveland and the US Postal Service Office of Inspector General. Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew Kall will prosecute.
