Winning Mega Millions Ticket Sold In Ohio

The $372 million jackpot was won after a ticket was purchased in Northeast Ohio.

MENTOR, OH — The winning ticket for the $372 million Mega Millions jackpot was sold at a Giant Eagle in Northeast Ohio, the Ohio Lottery announced. This is the 20th winning Mega Millions ticket sold in Ohio since the drawing started in 2002.

The winning ticket was sold at a Giant Eagle in Mentor, on Tyler Boulevard, the Ohio Lottery said. The winner will have an option to take a $251.5 million cash prize.

Tuesday night's winning numbers were 22, 30, 53, 55 and 56, plus the gold Mega Ball 16. The ticket sold in Mentor matched all six numbers, the Ohio Lottery said.

The Giant Eagle store will receive $100,000 for selling the winning ticket.

Mega Millions' next drawing will be Friday, Dec. 20. The jackpot resets after every win, so if someone gets lucky again, they'll win $40 million (with a cash prize option of $27 million).

The last time an Ohioan won the Mega Millions jackpot was in 2018. A trust claimed a $142 million jackpot, Fox 8 reported.
