American Pickleball Tournament Descends on Erie

Try your hand at one of the fastest growing U.S. sports at the Erie American Pickleball Tournament. The competition will take place Friday, March 27- Sunday, March 29, 2020 at premier sports training facility, ERIEBANK Sports Park, 8159 Oliver Road in Erie. Registration and a social event will occur on Friday, and the tournament begins at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Whether you’re young or old, or want to play individually or with a partner - this competition is for you!

Pickleball is a paddle sport created with all ages and skill levels in mind. Although accounts vary on how the sport got its name, it’s a combination of tennis, badminton and ping pong. To learn more about pickleball, please click here.

Participants will receive an American Pickleball Tour (APT) visor and towel as part of registration, and also get an invitation to social gatherings throughout the weekend. This is an excellent opportunity for novices, as well as those who want to improve their game, all while making new friends!

A customized APT medal will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers for each event in different age and skill brackets. Clubs, businesses and organizations are welcome to participate in groups, and can receive perks such as registration discounts and more!
