• Mentor schools asks for input on consolidation, 8th grade move (cleveland.com) — Mentor Schools is asking residents to complete a new online survey that will shape plans to close three elementary schools and possibly move eighth graders into Mentor High School for 2027–28. The district outlines several grade configurations and boundary changes as it seeks millions in savings amid declining enrollment, and says community feedback will guide the final consolidation plan.
   

• Mentor 'punched in the mouth' in 51-7 setback to St. Ignatius (news-herald.com) — Mentor football's 27-game regular-season winning streak ended with a 51–7 loss to St. Ignatius, as turnovers and big plays buried the Cardinals early. Coach Matt Gray says the team must cut self-inflicted mistakes before hosting Brunswick on Sept. 11 and refocusing on Greater Cleveland Conference play.
