Annual Kinkade Mother's Day Highlighting Event coming to Gallery One

Thomas Kinkade Highlighting Event will take place on Mother's Day weekend at Gallery One. Treat your favorite mom to her favorite canvas.

Calling all lovers of Thomas Kinkade’s art: Gallery One’s eagerly awaited Thomas Kinkade Highlighting Event will take place on Mother’s Day weekend. This popular free event is open to the public, but because of its ever-growing popularity, reservations for individual highlighting appointments are strongly encouraged.

A professional Kinkade Master Highlighter Artist will enhance eligible canvases May 6 and 7 as a complimentary service for Gallery One patrons. It is the perfect time to treat your favorite mom (or yourself) to a favorite Kinkade canvas. Highlighted embellishments are added with oil paint, giving the canvas added dimension. No two highlighted canvases are ever alike, and each receives a Certificate of Highlighting.

“Our annual Mother's Day Weekend Highlighting Event has long been a favorite with our Kinkade collectors,” said Alan Brown, Gallery One president. “This year, those who attend will also have the extraordinary opportunity to acquire works from a major collection of rare, mint-condition Kinkade canvases now available to Gallery One patrons, available first come, first served.”

Known to his legion of collectors as ‘The Painter of Light,’ the late Thomas Kinkade is best loved for his luminous paintings of country cottages and idyllic scenery. Highlighting is done by an Elite Master Highlighter from The Thomas Kinkade Company, trained to use the highlighting techniques personally developed by Kinkade himself.

Gallery One (Ohio’s only Kinkade Signature Gallery) is located at 7003 Center Street (between Rtes. 2 and 90). Established in 1974, this popular Cleveland hot spot was twice voted “Best Cleveland Area Art Gallery.” Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday or by appointment. Wheel chair accessible with free parking, the family-friendly gallery has an 18,000 square-foot showroom with custom framing facilities. Showcased are 30,000 limited edition prints, original paintings, sculptures, books, posters and porcelain figurines by hundreds of internationally renowned artists.
