Kyrie Irving made four free throws in the final 16.5 seconds to seal the deal. Irving finished with 23 points in 46 minutes but he shot a dismal 5-of-20. He was bailed out by his 11-of-11 free-throw shooting.

The Cavs' Kevin Love scored nine of his 20 points in double overtime. J.R. Smith had 18 points on six three-pointers and he had the biggest three of the game with time running out in regulation. He has scored 12, 14, and now 18 in his last three games.

James has scored in double figures in 787 consecutive regular-season games, tying Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the second-longest such streak of all time. Michael Jordan scored at least 10 points in an NBA-best 866 consecutive games. James' streak dates to Jan. 5, 2007.

Former Cav C.J. Miles torched his old team for 27 points off the bench. Thaddeus Young added 19 points for Indiana, which has lost four straight and six of seven.

With the win, the Cavs remain a half-game behind the Boston Celtics for first place in the East. The Pacers are now tied for eighth with the Heat.

COMING UP FOR THE CAVS: The Cleveland Cavaliers (49-27) conclude their three-game homestand with the Orlando Magic (27-50) before their showdown with the Boston Celtics on Wednesday.
