Through our initiative, Project Break the Cycle, we provide immediate support to individuals and families escaping unsafe and unstable environments, including food, clothing, emergency assistance, and access to critical resources that help create a path toward long-term safety and independence. We also operate a Free Community Store in Mentor, where individuals and families can access clothing, household items, and essential necessities at no cost. This resource allows us to meet urgent needs with dignity while supporting families as they rebuild their lives. Mentor Police arrested a 44-year-old Concord Township man earlier this week and charged him with his sixth OVI charge. Police pulled over Michael Murray around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on Mentor Avenue near Old Johnnycake Road for driving without his headlights on. <a href="https://www.facebook.com/MentorPD?fref=ts" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">According to the department's Facebook page</a>, the responding officer believed he was intoxicated, which prompted the field sobriety tests Murray eventually failed. Police also found marijuana and prescription pills. Murray faces felony OVI and drug possession charges, as well as a misdemeanor drug possession charge. His vehicle was also seized.
