Gallery One announces its Fifth Annual "Cold Nose - Warm Art"(TM) Kids Competition & Exhibit!
The "Cold Nose - Warm Art" exhibit is open for kids age 4-18, including Adaptive Arts students, to submit art based on shelter pets.

MENTOR, OH – Picasso once said, “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” To that end, Gallery One announces its eagerly awaited Call for Entries for the Fifth Annual “Cold Nose - Warm Art™” kids competition and exhibit. Artists ages 4 to 18, including Adaptive Arts students, are invited to submit artwork with completed entry forms for this annual exhibit. Deadline is Oct. 28. The “Cold Nose - Warm Art™” exhibit runs Nov. 18 through Jan. 3.
“Cold Nose - Warm Art™” recognizes young artists while promoting the adoption of shelter and rescue animals. The models selected for this year’s competition are adoptable pets from Lake Humane Society and Marilyn's Voice, a nonprofit volunteer animal rescue organization. Parents and teachers are encouraged to get youngsters involved to experience the thrill of seeing their artwork on display in the area’s largest art gallery.
No purchase necessary to participate. Entries may be original drawings, paintings, sculptures, cartoons or other two or three dimensional portrayals of the adoptable animals in any medium, taking part in any adventure the young artists wish. In order to be eligible, artwork must be accompanied by a completed entry form which lists rules, submission guidelines and size restrictions. Official entry forms and photos of this year’s subjects are available at Gallery One or can be downloaded from http://www.galleryone.com/images/CNWA2016/cnwa-entry-form-2016.pdf
“Many professional artists must wait years for a gallery exhibit. Last year we showcased the creative efforts of more than 200 kids, devoting wall space to their art right alongside the work of established artists,” said Alan Brown, Gallery One president and founder. “All of the artists receive recognition for their artistic contributions. Visitors can vote for the winner of the People’s Choice Award. We also award prizes in each category in addition to the Grand Prize. The Awards Presentation will be held on Saturday, November 26 at the gallery. The public is invited to this free event.”
Twice-voted Best Cleveland Area Art Gallery, Gallery One is family-friendly. Its founders, Norah Lynne and Alan Brown, are celebrating more than 40 years in business.
