still has spots open for artists and would-be artists who want to attend its free workshop, Recipe for Art, this Saturday.
Local artist James McNamara – a trained painter who studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art and Cleveland State University – will teach the basics of drawing and painting from 1 to 3 p.m. at the library's main branch.

He will focus on four elements of art: portraits, still life, landscapes and free form.
Artists are encouraged to bring their own materials to the workshop, such as pencils, paper, sketchbooks, watercolors, ink, pastels, tempera, paint and mat boards.
While the event is free, participants need to call 440-255-8811, ex.210, to register. The program can only accept the first 20 to register.
