The Cavaliers made an NBA regular-season record 25 3-pointers on their way to a 135-130 wire-to-wire win over the Hawks Friday night.
Cavs made 25 of 46 (.543) 3s to break a record that stood less than three months. Houston made 24 treys in their win over New Orleans on December 16, 2016.
Kyrie Irving scored a team-high 43 points and nine assists, Lebron added 38 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists. Channing Frye and Richard Jefferson each scored 11 points, while Derrick Williams and Kyle Korver, whose 3-pointer with 1:17 left against his former team set the NBA record as Cleveland's 25th 3-pointer, each scored nine points.

Hawks made this closer than it should have been, as they were once trailing by 25 points, but got the score within one point with 1:32 left until Korver's 3-pointer set the record and stretch the lead.
Tim Hardaway Jr. made five of nine 3-pointers and led the Hawks in scoring with a career-high 36 points. Milsap had 27 points. Dwight Howard finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

It was an impressive showing by the Cavaliers, which just confirmed the signing of free-agent Andrew Bogut on Thursday. He is tentatively scheduled to make his Cavs' debut on Monday against the Miami Heat.
