Man Accused Of Making Explosives Is Arraigned In Mentor Court

The Mentor man accused of making explosives and blowing one up at was arraigned Monday morning in .
on his apartment balcony. When police came to investigate the explosion, they found a small pipe bomb in the trunk of his car and the ingredients to make more explosives, Mentor Police Lt. Ken Zbiegien said.
Bull is charged with two felony counts: illegal manufacturing of explosives and unlawful possession of a dangerous ordnance. He also faces a misdemeanor drug paraphernalia charge because police found a glass pipe while searching Bull's possession.

Bull had his first court appearance Monday. Municipal courts cannot try felony charges, so Bull could not plead guilty. Instead, he could only plead not guilty or make no plea.
He chose not to plea on both of his felony charges.

Judge John Trebets set Bull's bond at $100,000, which he did not post.
Bull asked for a smaller bond, saying that he worked full time at the Waffle House and also took classes at Lakeland Community College.
Trebets said he would not lowe the bond at this time.
If Bull is convicted of both felony charges, he could face between two and nine years in prison.
