Man Lies To Police Officers So He Can Get Ride Home From The Mall
Andre Otis claimed he was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of Great Lakes Mall because he didn't want to walk home in the cold

A man lied to Mentor Police so he could get a ride home Wednesday from Great Lakes Mall, according to the police department's Facebook page.
Andre Otis, 26, of Cleveland, called police and told them he had been robbed at gunpoint in the mall's parking lot.
However, when an officer arrived at the mall to talk to him, Otis's story became inconsistent.

Ultimately, Otis admitted that he made the story up because he was cold and had no ride home, police said.
Otis was charged with misdemeanor counts of falsification and misuse of 911. He's scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday morning in .
