Here's the recap from Saturday's Mentor HS Varsity Boys Soccer Game vs Westlake.
The Cardinals were up 2 to 0 after the first half with both goals scored by Evan Powell. Assists by Patrick Iskra and Jake Lombardo.
The second half started out strong with Tim Noll scoring first then Jake Lombardo scoring with a Penalty Kick.
Mentor had 11 shots on goal to Westlake's 1 and held possession for most of the game. Goalkeeper Matt Markiewicz had one save.
Mentor Boys Soccer's next game will be Tuesday, August 27th 7:00 pm (5:00 for JV) at Stow-Munroe Falls High School for their first Northeast Ohio Conference Game of the season! Hope to see you there!
