There is always something to do in Mentor. The City is known for the wide array of recreation opportunities available including programs, activities, and events. In fact, the City hosts over 40 events each year for all ages and interests. Here are some of the most popular that you’re going to want to circle on your calendar.

MENTOR ROCKS
The popular Mentor Rocks summer concert series is held Tuesday evenings, June 1 through August 31, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mentor Civic Amphitheater. This year’s schedule includes rock icon Lita Ford and 90s alt-group Cracker along with the nation’s best tribute bands.

Mentor Rocks is an all-ages event which promotes a festival-like atmosphere each week. In addition to great music, attendees can enjoy a great selection of food from area vendors as well as an assortment of beers and wines. The venue features lawn seating, so bring your own blankets or chairs. Outside food is permitted although outside alcohol is not. Coolers will be checked at the gate. Admission and parking are free of charge. Grounds open at 5:00 PM. The Mentor Civic Amphitheater is located in Mentor Civic Center Park at 8600 Munson Road. More info at www.mentorrocks.info.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
Celebrate Independence Day at the Amphitheater with a free performance by country-superstar, Daryll Worley, followed by a spectacular 25-minute fireworks display after the concert. Worley is known for his soulful, down-to-earth vocal style and traditional country roots. The Tennessee native’s career has spanned three decades with over 20 songs on the Billboard Country Hot 100 including number-one hits “Awful Beautiful Life”, “I Miss My Friend”, and “Have You Forgotten”. Grounds open at 6:00 PM. Same rules apply as for Mentor Rocks.

HEADLANDS BEACHFEST
Looking for something fun to do with the kids this summer? Then don’t miss “the ultimate beach party” on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 and will feature all-day entertainment, family-friendly activities, food trucks, and arts-and-crafts vendors. World class sand sculptors will also be on hand to dazzle attendees with their larger than life work. Admission and parking are free. TUNES AT THE LAGOONS
Enjoy “Tunes at the Lagoons” as some of the area’s top local bands bring live music to life at the Mentor Lagoons Marina from 7:00 – 9:00 PM every other Saturday this summer. Admission and parking are free. Attendees can also enjoy food and refreshments from local food trucks weekly, as well as a selection of beers and wines for those 21 and over. MENTOR ON TAP & UNCORKED
Enjoy the best beers and wines that Ohio has to offer on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM at Mentor Civic Center Park. Attendees will have the opportunity talk with brewers and share their love of the craft while they enjoy gourmet fare from some of the area’s favorite food trucks. They can also participate in a variety of fun games and activities throughout the evening including cornhole and trivia. Live music will be provided by Skinny Moo. 21 and over only. MENTOR CRUISE-IN
Mentor Cruise-In has been wowing crowds for nearly two decades. Now, it’s bigger and better than ever with over 800 cars, 2,500 spectators, live entertainment, food, and refreshments. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Mentor Civic Center Park. This is a free event. Free registration for cruisers. MENTOR CITYFEST
There is always time for one last summer bash! Mentor CityFest takes place August 20/21, 2021 at Mentor Civic Center Park and promises great family fun! This popular annual event attracts over 20,000 people from across the area and features all-day entertainment as well as interactive activities for kids of all ages. Attendees can also get their fill of fair-food as well as exhibits in the Main Street Tent.

Nearly 100 community groups will be taking part in the CityFest parade Saturday at 10:00 AM and the most colorful event of the summer will take place at 6:00 PM with the Mentor CityFest Color Dash & Walk. Admission is free. There is a fee for some activities. Learn more at www.mentorcityfest.com.

MENTOR PERCHFEST
Mentor PerchFest will make its debut August 27 – 29, 2021 at the Mentor Lagoons Marina. Anglers of all ages will be invited to participate in fishing tournaments and clinics.
