Property owners will be able to petition Council for inclusion of their properties within the SID to undertake shoreline protection measures and finance those projects through voluntary special assessments. All public and private properties are eligible to join.

Individual property owners would assume responsibility for the planning and completion of their projects. The assessment amount and term would be based on the amount of money borrowed to complete the project and other factors.
