Mentor High, Lake Catholic Both Nominated For Game Of The Week

The Mentor High and Lake Catholic football teams don't face off on the field. However, both teams are competing to play in the Cleveland Browns game of the week.

this weekend at Jerome T. Osborne Stadium. First, Lake Catholic plays its homecoming opponent Benedictine this Friday. Then, Mentor will rumble with Cleveland JFK Saturday.

Fans can vote for either contest to be the Cleveland Browns game of the week.

The fan poll can be found on the Browns' website. Vote now because the poll closes at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

If either Mentor or Lake Catholic wins the poll, the Cleveland Browns organization will cover the game and post highlights on its website.

Also, the winning coach and an MVP will be honored during a Browns home game.

Finally, the winning team will receive $1,000 for their football program.

Both Mentor and Lake Catholic have already played in and won a Browns game of the week.
