Mentor High Performs 'Steel Magnolias' This Weekend
The Mentor High production of a story of women's strength and friendship might leave you in tears

That was Director John Greene's advice regarding the Mentor High production of Steel Magnolias, which students are performing tonight, Friday and Saturday at the .
The students performed for a preview show for their parents Wednesday and it left several audience members in tears, Greene said.

Magnolias tells the story of the friendships and challenges faced by six women over a 3-year span. The action centers around their interactions in a beauty parlor in the fictional town of Chinquapin, Louisiana.
"The girls are doing a phenomenal job," Greene said of the cast.

The Mentor performances each begin at 7 p.m. The show only runs this weekend.
Tickets are available at the art center's box office and cost $5 for students and seniors and $8 for adults.
