Mentor Man Needs Your Votes to Be 'The Voice'
Lake Catholic graduate Zach McCraith is one of 10 finalists in WKYC's 'The Voice' contest

Mentor native Zach McCraith could have The Voice, but he needs some help to prove it.
McCraith is one of 10 finalists in WKYC's The Voice competition. The top three contestants will get to fly to Los Angeles and audition for the hit show.
As of 8 p.m. Wednesday, McCraith was in a dead heat with Laura Clapp for third place, so he needs votes to assure his place in the top trio.

To vote for McCraith, you only need to visit WKYC's website and select him. You can also watch McCraith's performances of The Black Keys' "Tighten Up" and "Take Me Out to the Ballgame."
You only have until noon today to vote, so make sure to do so early.

McCraith, a 2008 graduate of , said he has been singing since he was 5 years old. He also performs with local band Call Us Kings.
But even with all of that experience, he admitted that he was nervous before his Top 10 performance on WKYC.
"I was extremely nervous both before and afterward," he said.
He said it would be an honor and a blessing to compete on NBC's The Voice.
"If I get there, I think I could do well," he said.
