Did you know that a young woman who lived in Lake County served as a Union spy by request of none less than President Abraham Lincoln?

You can learn about this woman (whose name was Elizabeth Stiles, by the way) and more like her when we host the Women Spies in Ohio program at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 7.

A speaker from the Lake County History Center will guide you through this secret world of subterfuge. These brave women served from the Revolutionary War to the World Wars. But who were they and what are their stories?
