Mentor Resident Takes Part In 'Raider Tank'

Alyssa Adams took second place in the "Shark Tank" like competition.

From University of Mt. Union: The University of Mount Union's semi-annual "Raider Tank" entrepreneurship pitch competition took place on Monday, October 29, with three students netting a total of $1,200 to help fund their ideas.

Students from any discipline identify a problem in their environment and throughout the semester apply entrepreneurship concepts learned in class to come up with a seemingly viable solution.

Working alone or in teams, the students pitch their ideas in a three-minute format to a panel of business and not for profit professionals from the area. Winners receive cash prizes and many use their prize money to start their business.
