The unemployment rate for the City of Mentor decreases 1.6% to 3.9% for the month of February 2021. One year ago, the unemployment rate was 4.5%. In Lake County, the unemployment rate decreases 2.0% as well to 4.4% for the month of February; one year ago, it was 5.2%.
Among cities in Ohio with a population of 50,000 or more, the City of Mentor’s 3.9% unemployment rate is the lowest and Lakewood has the second lowest rate at 4.3%. Cleveland Heights is ranked third with 4.8%, followed by Parma at fourth with 4.9%. The City’s civilian labor force decreased to 25,200.

The State of Ohio’s unemployment rate decreased 0.4% to 5.6% for the month of January 2021.
