The Mentor High School Varsity Soccer team will take on Westlake High School Saturday, 8/24 at 7:00 pm in Westlake. Come out and support your Cardinals as they try to continue their winning streak!
After 2 pre-season wins, the Cardinals beat Berea-MidPark 4-2 in an exciting 1st Regular Season game at the MHS Soccer Stadium last Saturday, August 17th. After starting strong with a 1-0 lead, the Cardinals fell behind when Berea-MidPark scored 2 goals (one from a Penalty). Down 1 goal - the Cards rallied to score 3 goals in the second half to win 4 to 2! Colin Eedy, Jake Lombardo, Evan Powell and Ryan Brass all contributed goals. Goalkeeper Matt Markiewicz had 4 saves on the night.
Saturday's match-up with Westlake should be a great game! Come support your Mentor High Varsity and JV Boys Soccer teams at 5:00 and 7:00pm in Westlake.
