Teens Only Needed a Minute to Win It

It's good to challenge yourself -- whether you're shaving a minute from your run time or trying to raise more money for charity.

Or – in the case of the teens who competed in our Minute to Win It challenge Saturday at the library's Read House – moving a cookie from their forehead to their mouth using only their facial muscles.

Or running an obstacle course while balancing a book on their head.

Or using a bit of petroleum jelly on their nose – and just that – to move as many cotton balls as they can from one bowl to another.

In other words, it's good to challenge yourself even if the challenges are silly. (Especially if the challenges are silly.) Win or lose, there's a good chance you'll have fun.

Watch the video we've attached to this blog and see how our teen competitors fared during our decathlon of minute-long challenges.

Only one of them could win (congrats, Andrea!) but all of them had a good time.
