The Cleveland Indians powered their way to a 12-4 win over the Seattle Mariners in the series finale on Sunday at Progressive Field.

Brantley led off the big third inning with a single and capped it with a two-run homer. Lindor, who had three RBIs, hit a solo homer in the third and preceded Brantley's homer with his double.

The eight-run third inning featured just about everything and was bolstered by a missed catch in right field and tag-up from Jose Ramirez on a shallow pop up to right field. After he scored, the next six hitters all reached base, producing six runs.

Josh Tomlin was given plenty of run support en route to his second win of the season. The right-hander who departed during a rocky sixth inning, allowed four runs on eight innings while striking out three batters.

Speaking of the sixth inning, the Mariners rattled off six straight hits off Tomlin and lefty reliever Boone Logan, five of them singles, to close the gap to 9-4 and loaded the bases with nobody out.

Nick Goody came in and avoided any further damage with the help of Lindor. After striking out Taylor Motter for the first out of the inning, Carlos Ruiz lined a ball to Lindor, who snagged it and flipped it to Jason Kipnis at second base for a inning-ending double play.

Mariners rookie right-hander Chase De Long had a rough first starting assignment of his career. He only lasted 2 2/3 innings and surrended six runs on nine hits and two walks, taking his second loss of the season.

The Mariners' Nelson Cruz extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a second-inning home run off Tomlin, which gave the designated hitter his fifth homer in his last six games played.

The eight runs scored by the Indians in the third inning marked the most runs in a single inning for Cleveland since May 27.2015, when the Tribe also scored eight in the third inning against the Texas Rangers.

Winning Pitcher: Josh Tomlin (2-3)

Losing Pitcher: Chase De Long (0-2)

NEXT UP FOR THE TRIBE: The Indians will start on a 10-day road trip that will start with the Detroit Tigers beginning with a Monday night tilt at Comerica Park. The Tribe and Tigers will play four games, with Trevor Bauer (2-2, 6.26 ERA) opposing Daniel Norris (1-2, 4.71) in the series opener. Norris blanked the Indians over six innings on April 14. In that same game, Bauer surrendered six runs on eight hits over five frames.
