Video: The Music of 'The Phantom of the Opera'

Mentor High School Theater will perform 'The Phantom of the Opera' March 30 through April 2; Watch as the all-student, 50-piece symphony prepares for the performance

The students of will be among the first high schools in the world to perform Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera March 30 through April 2 at the Fine Arts Center.

More than 100 students are in the cast, crew and symphony orchestra for Phantom.

We will be joining the students all week as they prepare. Today we highlight the symphony orchestra, which will accompany the actors and actresses through more than 2 1/2 hours of Broadway score each night.

As Orchestra Director Dan Crain explained, "This is not an abbreviated or amended version. These students are playing the same parts as the musicians on Broadway."

Return all week to see video interviews with the cast, crew and director. Furthermore, this week on "You Said It," students will be talking about their favorite part of Phantom.

To buy tickets for Phantom, call Mentor High School at 440-974-5300. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. All four shows are expected to sell out.
