• New accessible playground opens at Talawanda Middle (oxfreepress.com) — Families in Oxford now have access to a new fully accessible playground at Talawanda Middle School, open to both students and the wider community. Built with major support from the Greater Oxford Community Foundation, the rubber-surfaced space includes adaptive swings, a wheelchair-accessible carousel, musical features, and seating designed so students with complex needs can play alongside their peers.
   

• Miami downs UConn 24-21 despite one of weirdest plays in college football season (local12.com) — Miami's 24-21 comeback win over UConn unfolded right here in Oxford, with quarterback David McComb throwing for 312 yards and three total touchdowns before leaving late with an injury. A bizarre near-fumble and a clutch 33-yard field goal in the final two minutes sealed the RedHawks' home victory and evened their record at 2-2.
