Public Forum on Oxford Area Trail Systems: March 15, 2017

Area residents can learn about progress on the Oxford Area Trail System at a public meeting in Oxford on March 15, sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Oxford. Jessica Greene, Director of the Oxford Visitor's Bureau, will provide the latest information on this grass-roots, largely grant-funded local initiative that is developing a loop around the city for walkers and bicyclists to enjoy. Mark Boardman. Chair, Board of Trustees of Three Valley Conservation Trust, will highlight the ongoing work of the Trust and MetroParks of Butler County to up upgrade trails and parks throughout the region. Donna McCollum, of Three Valley Trust, will present plans to create trials in the Ruder Preserve, located off Bonham Road and Shadowy Hills Drive. These trails will be a first in the Oxford area, for they will be designed to accommodate families with children in strollers and anyone using a wheelchair, in compliance with the American with Disability Act. The program begins at 7:30 in the Undercroft of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 25 E. Walnut Street, Oxford. Those attending should enter through the Undercroft door on Poplar St.
