Talawanda Board of Education Will Discuss IT Improvements, Gifts, Project Updates
The Talawanda School District Board of Education will meet Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Talawanda High School.

Oxford's Talawanda School District Board of Education will consider IT improvements, gifts and project updates, among other topics, at its Monday meeting.
Board members call for consent to accept an agreement with NextStep Networking of Cincinnati to upgrade the speed and performance of computer service in TSD schools and offices. The six-month agreement began Nov. 1, and covers the monitoring of networks, repairs and security issues. The cost is $11,700 or $1,950 a month.

The board agenda also calls for a consent of the acceptance of nearly $14,000 in gifts. Tri-Health, which is now the affiliate of Oxford's McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital, is giving $10,000 for health and wellness efforts, while Miami University Greek community is contributing the second highest amount at $3,000. The balance come from the Oxford Community Foundation and the Lucy Ferris Book Foundation.

- new graduation requirements for the class of 2018 and beyond. Director of Curriculum Joan Stidham, and Assistant Principal Molly Merz will explain the new requirements and how they would benefit the Talawanda School District to the board.
- the resignation of TSD assistant treasurer of accounts payable/receivable, Martha Finkbine. She is retiring, effective Dec. 30.
- updates on the construction of Kramer School, with students scheduled to move into the new building Jan. 9.
The board will meet from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Talawanda High School, 5301 University Park Blvd. The meeting is open to the public.
