The Middleburg Heights Department of Public Services said the crossing would re-open in early June.

MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OH — The Fowles Road train crossing will be closed starting May 30. The crossing will re-open on June 4. Detour routes will be posted along the route.
A notice sent out by the Middleburg Heights Department of Public Services said the crossing will be closed for street and railroad track repairs. A representative for CSX said the road is being resurfaced and the tracks along Fowles are being torn out and the ties are being replaced.
The nearly 200-year-old railroad company had a significant eastern U.S. presence, including 4,000 miles of tracks throughout the Buckeye State. The company also maintains nearly 2,100 public-private railroad crossings throughout the state.
