New Softball Fields in Berea Approved by Planning Commission
One field will be designated for use by the Berea Schools. The other will be for Baldwin Wallace University.
BEREA, OH - A sports complex for use by the Berea City School District and Baldwin Wallace University has been approved by the Berea Planning Commission. The new complex will be paid for using private funding acquired by Baldwin Wallace and the Berea Schools.
The school district said in a statement that the fields would be used primarily for softball games and practices. One of the fields will be assigned to Baldwin Wallace, the other for the Berea Schools.
The field will also be opened up to the public during the summer. Recreational use will be approved through the school district.

In a statement, the district says, "This complex is not funded in any way by the bond issue that was passed in November to build a new high school, elementary school, and perform renovations to Middleburg Heights Junior High and Big Creek Elementary School."
