Only seven hospitals in Ohio earned the Pathways to Excellence designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OH — Southwest General is one of only seven hospitals in Ohio to receive the Pathway to Excellence designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The designation is given to hospitals which create healthy work environments for nurses.

“The Pathway to Excellence designation is an outstanding achievement for our nurses and all employees at Southwest General. Everyone can be very proud of this accomplishment,” said William A. Young, Jr., president and CEO of Southwest General.

Southwest General leaders said creating a stable, healthy environment for nurses lead to healthier patients, low turnover rates for staff and higher job satisfaction.
