Stefano Dental to Support Stuff the Bus June through Aug. 2

SANDUSKY, Ohio – Stefano Dental, DDS, Inc. of Sandusky, Ohio is helping to support Stuff the Bus from June through Aug. 2 by collecting school supplies for local children in need. Stefano Dental is joined by United Way of Erie County, Ohio, Sandusky Mall and Vacation Land Federal Credit Union in the school supply fundraiser. The goal is to provide a minimum of 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies for grades kindergarten through fifth grade for the 2019-2020 school year. For more information, call 419.626.2205.

“Kids who are prepared for school---do well in school, and we want to ensure a successful start to the school year for as many kids as we can,” said Lata Stefano, DDS, owner of Lata Stefano, DDS., Inc of Sandusky, Ohio.

Each school year, an estimated 2,800 children in Erie County, Ohio will lack the supplies needed to enter the classroom ready to learn. School supplies needed include: backpacks (drawstrings acceptable, no wheels); Crayola Crayons (16 or 24 box); Crayola Watercolor Markers (one set of 8); one ruler (with standard and metric systems); glue sticks; bottled glue; folders (2 pockets, solid colors); wide-ruled paper; Fiskars scissors; pink erasers; and pencil boxes.

Tax deductible monetary donations will also be accepted for backpacks and school supplies. Please make checks payable to United Way of Erie County and write “school supplies” on the memo line.
