• What a Title III Grant means for Muskingum University (whiznews.com) — Muskingum University in New Concord is launching a five-year, $5 million Title III-funded partnership with Zane State College to smooth student transfers and expand AI-focused learning and paid work experiences. Beginning in October, new staff positions will guide transfer students, build AI skills aligned with federal standards, and aim to grow transfer enrollment enough to sustain the program long term.
   

• Economic frustration tests Trump's standing with rural voters (wabe.org) — Rising prices at the gas pump and grocery store are hitting New Concord residents like teacher Nate Lawrence, who questions whether national leaders can really boost his family's spending power. A new poll of rural voters nationwide shows many share his frustration with the cost of living and are uncertain about supporting either party this November, even in key states like Ohio.
