• North Olmsted police hosting firearm safety class: A Place in the Sun (cleveland.com) — North Olmsted residents can attend a free firearm safety class hosted by the city's police department and Cuyahoga County Board of Health on Sept. 29 at the Community Cabin on Lorain Road. The seminar, part of a violent crime reduction effort, focuses on safe handling and storage, and is open to anyone interested in keeping homes and neighborhoods safer.
   

• $5 million bond ordered for North Olmsted suspect accused of killing wife, son (news5cleveland.com) — A North Olmsted man is being held on a $5 million bond after being charged with killing his wife and 18-year-old son in a weekend shooting on Evelyn Drive. The case follows another recent fatal shooting in the city, and a local café has begun fundraising to support the affected North Olmsted families.
