• North Olmsted nearly completes Springvale Golf Course & Ballroom updates (cleveland.com) — If you use Springvale Golf Course & Ballroom in North Olmsted, you'll notice new accessibility ramps, repaved parking, better lighting, and refreshed interiors, with an upgraded ATM on the way. A planned permanent canopy over the ballroom entrance was delayed after high bids, and city officials now expect to revisit that project in 2027 or 2028.
   

• Charges dropped against teen who allegedly shot and killed his brother in North Olmsted (news5cleveland.com) — Charges against the 18-year-old accused of fatally shooting his brother on Lucydale Avenue in North Olmsted have been dropped after a county self-defense review. Prosecutors say current evidence can't disprove he acted to protect family members, and his attorney expects him to be released from jail soon.
   

• James R. Mihaloew (medina-gazette.com) — Family and friends in North Olmsted can soon pay their respects to James Robert Mihaloew, a longtime Strongsville resident, aeronautical engineer, and community volunteer. Visitation is set for Monday, Sept. 28, with a funeral Tuesday, Sept. 29, both at Sunset Chapel on Columbia Road, as relatives gather to honor his life of service and scholarship.
