5 Events This Weekend in the Stark and Summit Metro Parks
Hike, fish, paddle, make a birdhouse and meet a moth or two.
StarkParks weekend events
1. Nature Rangers — Friday, July 26, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Children (ages 4-7) are introduced to basic nature concepts and animals. Registration is free. Nature Ranger kits, including shirts & hats, will be available for purchase in FeLeap's Lily Pad Gift Shop.
2. Junior Rangers — Friday, July 26, 12 to 1 p.m. Children (ages 8-12) are introduced to various nature concepts and indigenous animals. Registration is free. Be sure to download, print, and complete the Program Waiver form in your confirmation email once registered.
Summit Metro Parks weekend events
3. Kids' fishing — Saturday, July 27, 10 a.m. to noon. Live bait will be provided.
4. Paddle the Parks — Saturday, July 27, 2 to 4:30 p.m. Cost is $20 for a kayak and $30 for a canoe.
5. Moth-apalooza — Saturday, July 27, 8:30 p.m. Bring a flashlight to see the "butterflies of the night."
