2013 Governor's Youth Art Exhibit

The Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibit 2013

Annually there are approximately 12,000 entries from 16 regions across the state.Β  The works are judged at each site and the work accepted regionally goes on to the state judging in Columbus.Β  From all of the work entered at the state level only 300 works are kept for the exhibition.Β  Two Hoover seniors had their artwork accepted for the 2013 exhibit in Columbus.Β  Hannah Cowie had a hand painted silk scarf design chosen and Hannah Gianfagna had a series of four works called β€˜The Seasons’ selected.Β  These two have been invited to join the rest of the top 300 high school artists on stage at the Riffe Center for an award ceremony on April 12th.Β  Scholarships and special awards are given at that time.Β  The show opens in the Rhodes Tower in Columbus the same day and stays open to the public through the 2nd weekend in May.
