Stark Parks’ mascot, FeLeap the Frog, turns 16 this year, but the popular park icon will not be getting a driver’s license because his feet are too big for the gas pedal and brake!
Instead the “friendliest frog in town” is inviting children 4-7 years old (with a caregiver) to celebrate his birthday on Sat., Jan. 5 from 1-3 p.m. at his favorite habitat: the Exploration Gateway at Sippo Lake Park, 5712 12th St. NW, in Perry Township. RSVPs are required at www.StarkParks.com or 330.409.8096. Please register only family members ages 4-7 that will be participating.
The free two-hour party will include crafts, games, snacks, a puppet show, and lots of photos with FeLeap. Although no gifts are required, guests who would like to bring a gift are encouraged to visit www.StarkParks.com/wildlife for a list of items needed by the Sanders Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. Many of FeLeap’s friends are cared for each year at the Center.
