Grabowski & Co. Receives 14 Canton ADDY Awards, Including Two of Four Judges Awards

Grabowski & Co. took home 14 awards at this year’s Canton Advertising Federation ADDY® Awards on Feb. 28, including two of four prestigious Judges Awards. Overall, the Uniontown-based marketing and communications firm won the second-highest number of awards of any agency in the competition.

Both Judges Awards honored hallmark print pieces, one for The Timken Company and the other for Employers Health Coalition, Inc. Grabowski & Co. is proud of the Timken Corporate Overview selection, as this was one of the first communication pieces to launch after a massive messaging overhaul. The Employers Health 2011 Annual Report succeeded with contemporary, eye-catching design and clean, strong content. These two entries, along with the Timken Steel Illustration Campaign, also received Gold ADDYs and will advance to the American Advertising Federation’s District 5 Competition in March.

The firm received a Silver ADDY in the self-promotion category for its new website (www.grabowskiandco.com). Other awards were given for excellent work done for Chez-Del Home Furnishings & Interior Design (“So Me” ad campaign), Kent State University Stark (Spring 2012 and Fall 2012 Encompass magazine designs), and Berlin Main Street Merchants (website).

“We aren’t defined by ADDY awards because they are subjective, but it sure is fun to win them,” says Sue Grabowski, president. “This event gives us an opportunity to celebrate and reflect on a year of hard work with our team and our clients. We are honored to be among this year’s winners,” says Grabowski.

Throughout its 16-year history, the company has earned more than 60 ADDY Awards from the Canton Advertising Federation, including two Best of Show awards.

Somoskey has been with Grabowski & Co. since May 2012 and is a sophomore at the University of Akron.

The ADDY Awards are held each year to honor excellence in local advertising. Fourteen professional entrants/agencies and three students received at least one award. Visit www.cantonadfed.org for more information.
