International Singer, Politician and Advocate of Catholic Faith, Dana Scallon to Keynote Walsh Commencement

International recording artist, politician, and advocate of Catholic faith, Dana Scallon (commonly known as Dana), will be the Keynote Speaker at the Walsh University Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, December 16, at 1:30 pm, in the Gaetano M. Cecchini Family Health and Wellness Complex.

Over two hundred and fifty summer and fall graduates will be awarded their respective degrees at the formal Commencement Ceremony.   Commencement Sunday activities will also include the Baccalaureate Mass at 10 am, in Cecchini Center Alumni Arena. A reception for graduates and their families will be held directly following Baccalaureate in the Auxiliary Gym of the Cecchini Center.

During the Commencement Ceremony, Dana will be awarded the Honorary Degree Doctor of Humane Arts and Letters from Walsh University.  In addition, Harold Ziegler will be honored with the Distinguished Service Medal.  The Distinguished Service Medal is awarded to those who have rendered distinguished professional or voluntary service to others within the national, regional or local Walsh University community. Those who are awarded this honor reflect the University’s steadfast commitment to the strength of noble character.
