Jews for Jesus Present "Christ in the Passover"

JEWS FOR JESUS PRESENT “CHRIST IN THE PASSOVER” AT FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF CANTON FOR MAUNDY THURSDAY SERVICE

      March 28 at 7:00 pm First Baptist Church at 4110 38^th St. in Canton will host representatives from Jews for Jesus who will explain what the Passover meal is and how it relates to Christ.  This event is free and open to the public.  Childcare is available for those under 2 years of age.

      Jesus’ Last Supper was actually a Jewish Passover.  Giselle Le’Aupepe of Jews for Jesus will re-create the traditional Passover service and explain how it foreshadowed Jesus’ death and resurrection in a presentation called “Christ in the Passover”.  She will set a table with items traditionally used at the Passover meal and detail their spiritual significance.  She will also explain the connection between the events of the first Passover in Egypt and the redemption that Jesus accomplished, as well as the deep bond between the ancient Passover feast and the Christian communion celebration today.

     Jews for Jesus has presented “Christ in the Passover” at over 38,000 churches.  It has been enthusiastically received by Christians who appreciate learning more about the Jewish backgrounds of their faith.

     Books and DVDs will be available for purchase after the presentation.
