The Ohio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Kent State University at Stark* is offering training sessions on QuickBooks accounting software. Each one-day training session will be held at The University Center at Kent State Stark, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township.
The fee of $119 for each QuickBooks session includes the training, continental breakfast, morning and afternoon break service and lunch. Space is limited to 18 participants per session. These classes are interactive so bring your specific QuickBooks questions.
QuickBooks I for Beginners will be offered on Friday, Oct. 12. The program will be held from 8:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m. Depending on space availability, registrations will be accepted through October 8.

Create your company’s books from scratch. Learn how to use this accounting software to create meaningful financial statements; profit and loss reports; budgets and forecasts to grow your business; track sales; set up an inventory and process invoices, checks, payments and more. You will learn some of the features available in QuickBooks Basic, Pro, Premier and Accountant Edition.
QuickBooks II Advanced will be offered on Friday, Oct. 19. The program will be held from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Depending on space availability, registrations will be accepted through October 15.

Join us to discover how to customize QuickBooks to your business. Learn to track sales orders, use credit cards, perform a year-end close and import and export customer and vendor lists. Master special transactions, including bad debts, petty cash and automatic bank transactions, plus NSF checks, customer deposits and more. Emphasis will be placed on inventory and payroll features. Prerequisite: A basic understanding of QuickBooks or completion of the QuickBooks I class.
Registrations and payment for the training sessions must be made online at www.CantonSBDC.org. Click on QuickBooks and make your choice of program and available date. An optional reference book for use at home/office is available and may be added at checkout for an additional $70. The instructor does not use this book, but it does provide step-by-step instructions for those desiring to take home additional information. The book also encompasses QuickBooks II.
