Friends of Stark Parks will host its second annual Prohibition Era “Speakeasy” Casino Night on Sat., March 9 from 6-10 p.m. at Massillon’s historic Five Oaks Mansion at 210 Fourth St. NE. Tickets are $75 per couple or $50 per person. Included are hors d’oeuvres, fine wines and beer, Prohibition jazz, and “fun money” for a night of gambling, raffles, and door prizes! Reservations are available by calling 330-477-3552. Guests are encouraged to come in Roaring 20s costume or casual dress.
Massillon Mayor Kathy Catazaro-Perry will be on hand to welcome guests to Massillon’s historic Woman’s Club. Guests will recognize many of the evening’s “celebrity dealers,” including Sheriff George Maier; Dave Waikem, owner of Waikem Auto Family; Jill Malusky, Massillon Museum educator; and Bob Sanderson, President of the Massillon Area Chamber of Commerce.

Proceeds benefit Friends of Stark Parks, a non-profit 501C3 volunteer organization dedicated to the development and use of Stark County parks, trails, programs, events, and facilities including the Hoover Trail in North Canton, the Middle Branch Trail in Plain Township and Canton, and a future trail to be built on the campuses of Kent State Stark Campus and Stark State.
