Plain Township Trustee Scott Haws will be competing in the Tough Mudder event on Saturday April 27, 2013 at Mansfield Lahm Regional Airport with friend Jeff Joliat of North Canton.
Tough Mudder course events raise money for The Wounded Warrior Project. The events are “hardcore 10-12 mile obstacle courses designed by British Special Forces to test strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie,” according to www.Toughmudder.com.
The Wounded Warrior Project supports returning service meant and women who are ill or have been injured. Their mission is to honor and empower Wounded Warriors. See www.woundedwarriorproject.org for more information.

Haws noted he is working to raise $1,000 from the local community before the April event. “The Wounded Warrior Project helps those who have so unselfishly fought to provide and protect the freedoms and liberties we have,” said Haws.
