Rice’s Mulch Calculator takes the guesswork out of ordering mulch and soil by the yard. Customers can quickly determine how much to order by answering a few basic questions about their landscaping project. The Mulch Calculator then determines the number of yards needed.

As an added convenience, customers can buy mulch and soil online and even request their preferred day of delivery. Customers residing in Rice’s local delivery area who order five or more yards online before April 15, 2012, receive free delivery.

Rice’s Nursery General Manager, Steve Maddox, added the online tool to help minimize the confusion associated with ordering mulch and soil by the yard.

“Too often, people order too much or little mulch for their landscaping project, but with this tool they can calculate the right amount in just a few quick steps. Plus, this is a great opportunity for local residents to order early and get premium mulch at a fantastic value.”

Rice’s mulch, which is composted for months to kill most weed seedlings, contains only pure organic matter - no construction debris, metal or pallet wood chips. It is also composted for months, which kills most weed seedlings.  Applying mulch helps retain moisture, suppress weeds and improve soil. In addition, mulch acts as a protective layer to prevent soil erosion.

To get a preferred delivery date, Rice’s encourages customers to order quickly. Visit RicesNursery.com/buy-mulch for more information or call the Garden Center at 330-499-9622.
